Who may be an Editor or Reviewer?
Any Princeton student – undergraduate, graduate, or postdoc.
How do I become involved?
Visit a Melange meeting, or email melange@princeton.edu.
What do Editors and Reviewers do?
Reviewers read the submissions before meetings and vote on whether they shall be: Accepted, Accepted with Revisions, or Rejected.
Like Reviewers, Editors vote on submissions. Additionally, they negotiate revisions with the poets, authors, and artists.
Executive and Associate Editors both draft suggested revisions, then review each other’s work. In the event of a non-unanimous decision, the Executive Editor makes the final call. If the Executive Editor is absent, the Associate Editor becomes the new Executive.
Staff Editors may volunteer to join any Editorial team in need. The Executive Editor ensures all Staff Editors have a second reader.
The Editor-in-Chief approves all edits before they are sent, and helps any editorial team in need.
